New execs to focus on building global strategic alliances and European distributor network

MELVILLE, NY Feb. 26, 2008 – Nastel Technologies, a premier provider of application performance management solutions that enable IT groups to meet Service Level Agreements (SLA’s), today announced the appointment of Richard Schreiber as Vice President of International Operations, Strategic Alliances and Corporate Marketing, and named Darren Riley its new Managing Director of Operations for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

In his new VP role, Schreiber has responsibility for all direct and channel sales for all areas outside of North America, as well as worldwide marketing and strategic alliances, reporting directly to Nastel’s CEO. Schreiber has over 35 years building successful sales channels, marketing teams and strategic partnerships to provide CIOs, CTOs and VPs with technology solutions aligned with their business goals. He has extensive experience selling and delivering integrated infrastructures and management systems to address SOA, Complex Event Processing (CEP) and the emerging application performance management challenges facing Global-2000 size companies. Prior to joining Nastel, Schreiber ran his own management consulting and professional services businesses. His career includes senior sales and marketing management positions at companies including Digital Equipment Company (DEC), Prime and RAD/componentized application pioneer Seer Technologies. Rich Schreiber is widely recognized for his middleware and middleware management solutions insight. He has been deeply involved with creating and selling into new markets based on IBM WebSphere MQ since IBM brought it into the market as MQ Series in 1993, has spoken at numerous conferences, and is a published author of books on the business and application value of CICS and WMQ in transaction and messaging environments.

As Managing Director of EMEA Operations based in the UK, Riley will oversee all aspects of Nastel’s business in the region, including direct sales and building and managing a network of resellers, distributors and service delivery partners, reporting to the VP. Another seasoned industry veteran, Riley also brings 25 years of IT industry experience in business management, direct sales, channel development, marketing and technical consultancy as well as extensive expertise in infrastructure management, messaging and transaction based technologies such as IBM’s WebSphere family of products, to his new role. Prior to joining Nastel, he was Managing Director of MQSoftware’s International Division, where he built an extensive business partner and alliances network and grew the company’s customer base throughout EMEA and Asia Pacific. Riley has also held senior management and sales positions at industry-leading companies including Candle Services, BMC Software, Boole & Babbage and MAXM Systems.
