Melville, NY June 19, 2009 -- Nastel Technologies, a premier global provider of business transaction performance™ (BTP™) solutions for mission-critical applications, today announced the National Computing Centre (NCC) Evaluation Centre for SOA, Web Services and Enterprise Integration has named Nastel as one of only 19 certified vendors worldwide in that solution category. Certification included the publication of an in-depth review of Nastel’s flagship AutoPilot M6 Suite.
The AutoPilot M6 Suite, featuring the newest addition to the product family -- AutoPilot TransactionWorks -- provides unique 360° situational awareness™ of the entire IT environment, encompassing both transactional and operational data in a unified business context.
This Evaluation Centre employs a two-stage verification process for its certification and product review process. The Centre conducts a review of vendor submissions against its own qualification criteria, then submits qualified submissions to Hitachi Consulting for an independent audit and validation of all the vendor material. Hitachi Consulting is an ISO 9001 accredited business and technology consultancy, specializing in the financial services, high-technology and public sectors.
"Achieving Evaluation Centre Certification is especially significant for the international marketplace," said Charley Rich, vice president of marketing and product management for Nastel. "Along with the recognition AutoPilot has received recently from other well-respected organizations like eWeek and the Readers Trust Award from Network Products Guide, this Certification further validates AutoPilot M6’s value in helping companies worldwide meet today’s tough challenges of reducing costs while improving service levels."
The UK-based National Computing Centre has been championing the effective use of IT worldwide since 1966 through its Evaluation Centres for enterprise software solutions. The Evaluation Centres provides IT buyers with a range of services to assist them with their procurement requirements. These include research reports, product and vendor reviews, conferences and a range of publications including Conspectus, Management Consultants' News and IT Adviser. The objective of these services is to provide users with the highest quality of information on a timely basis. The NCC now has nearly 1,000,000 individuals who have used its services.
